Design Brief

The brief.

Luxury silk curtain drapery with subtle tone-on-tone scrolling vine pattern in ivory and soft gold. Sunlight reads the tendril through the fold — the pattern moves with the room. For Middle Eastern villa bedrooms and lounges that need layered interior textiles with cultural depth.

  • Target space: bedrooms, lounges, suites, dining rooms, layered interior schemes
  • Target customer: villa owners, hospitality projects, interior designers
  • Cultural direction: tone-on-tone vine, sunlight as the pattern reader
  • Material direction: silk, jacquard, gold-thread embroidery, linen blend
  • Visual mood: ivory calm, soft gold whisper, warm sunlight, flowing fold
Pattern Source

Where the vine comes from.

The vine is reduced to a tone-on-tone whisper — ivory on ivory, gold on gold. The pattern is not loud; it is discovered. Sunlight streaming through the curtain fold reads the tendril, and as the fold moves, the vine moves with it. The pattern is alive because the room is alive.

Translation Process

From motif to material.

Six steps take the vine from a traditional line drawing to a buildable surface — the same method across all hi9 works.

01

Reduce to tone-on-tone

Strip the vine to ivory-on-ivory and gold-on-gold — a whisper, not a statement.

02

Scale to drape

Tune the vine to read through a 3m curtain fold — large enough to survive the fold.

03

Test in sunlight

Mock the curtain in raking sunlight — confirm the vine reads through the fold.

04

Add gold embroidery

Introduce subtle gold-thread embroidery on the flower node moments.

05

Offer jacquard variant

Provide a jacquard weave variant for upholstery coordination.

06

Pair with brass rail

Match the curtain to an antique brass rail — bridge textile to metal.

Material Strategy

The right material.

Ivory Silk

Primary curtain — bright, flowing, catches light.

Soft Gold Thread

Gold-thread embroidery on flower nodes — a whisper of luxury.

Emerald Accent

Optional emerald accent drape for Majlis applications.

Jacquard Weave

Jacquard variant for upholstery and layered textile schemes.

Linen Blend

Linen blend for a more relaxed, contemporary feel.

Antique Brass Rail

Brass curtain rail — bridge from textile to metal.

Scene Renderings

The vine, in space.

Each rendering drops the design into a real Middle Eastern interior — so you can see the vine walk, lean and live before any material is cut.
